What’s New for the 2021 Honda Pilot?

What’s New for the 2021 Honda Pilot?

Not all changes are easy to spot, and the 2021 Honda Pilot has more changes than the ones that can be easily spotted. There are no doubts that it is a facelift as compared to its previous version and is thus able to attract attention. Here’s a better look at the same.

Available Trims:

Buyers can choose from the following trims of the 2021 Honda Pilot:

·         EX

·         Touring

·         LX

·         SE

·         Black Edition

·         EX-L

·         Elite

SE is short for Special Edition and is a brand new variant in this vehicle. One of the reasons to introduce it was to allow the Black Edition to be priced lower. There is a change in the Black Edition too, which is now available in white color as well.

Exterior Appearance:

Comfort and style look to be perfectly amalgamated in the new 2021 Honda Pilot. It comes across as a rugged and highly comfortable SUV, ideal for various families in the US. Two sizes of wheels are available- 20 inch and 18 inches. 20 inch alloy wheels are visible on the Black Edition, Touring, Elite, and the SE. Trims below these get 18 inch alloy wheels.

Silver and black front grilles can be found on the 2021 Honda Pilot. Some users may find the black grille to be sportier in comparison to the silver. Headlights are available in full HD and standard LED low beam forms. Fog lamps are standard across all variants, except the LX trim. All models other than LX get heated ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). Step into this stylish SUV using the Honda Smart Entry system.

Engine Features:

Get ready to start up a 3.5 liter Direct Injection i-VTEC V6 petrol engine under the hood of the 2021 Honda Pilot, which is the same as the one in the 2019 trims. Power has gone up to 280 hp now, while peak torque comes in at 262 pound feet. All variants of the new Pilot get a standard 9-speed Automatic Transmission.

Interior Appearance:

Material and equipment inside the cabin of the 2021 Honda Pilot has been shuffled around. The car gets a 7-inch instrument gauge cluster, lighting up as soon as it starts. Electric power steering, along with audio and Bluetooth controls, is available. Customers get to choose from three interior colors, which are grey, black, and beige.

Memory function for two individuals is available for the driver’s seat on the EX-L trim and above it. This seat will be 10-way power adjustable, and it also gets 2-way lumbar support across all trims except the LX. The Black Edition gets perforated black leather materials.

A generous amount of storage space is available in the central console, and the front also gets two cupholders. Buyers of the SE trim will benefit from wireless charging.

Safety Features:

IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) has given the new 2021 Honda Pilot a top safety rating. Honda’s safety program is called Honda Sensing, and contains the following technologies:

·         Collision Mitigation Braking System

·         Blind Spot Monitoring

·         Road Departure Mitigation System

·         Adaptive Cruise Control

·         Lane Keeping Assist

A few safety features that are not included in Honda Sensing can also be seen in this vehicle. These features include a Rear Privacy Glass and Auto high beam headlights.
